My old head chef Joe was paying £30 a month for a trading platform he never had time to open.
He worked midnight shifts in the kitchen. By the time the last service was plated, the London close was already done. By the time he was back at 9 in the morning, the open had been and gone. The volatility he needed had happened while he was chopping onions.
He didn't want to quit trading. He just couldn't make it fit around the rest of his life. A wife, a baby, bills, a job that owned his calendar.
I traded for 14 years before I started building Heeeven. I worked in that same kitchen. I watched Joe's passion get crushed by circumstance, and I watched myself spend money on tools that didn't fit how I actually lived.
