My old head chef Joe was paying £30 a month for a trading platform he never had time to open.

Joe worked midnight shifts in the kitchen. By the time the last service was plated, the London close was already done. By the time he was back at 9 in the morning, the open had been and gone. The volatility he needed had happened while he was chopping onions.

He didn't want to quit trading. He just couldn't make it fit around the rest of his life. A wife, a baby, bills, a job that owned his calendar.

I traded for 14 years before I started building Heeeven. I started in 2012, learning the markets the same way most retail traders do. By trial and error, by losing money, by paying for software that promised the moon and delivered noise. I worked in that same kitchen Joe ran. I cooked, I plated, I cleaned, and on my breaks I watched the markets on my phone the way every busy trader does. Constantly behind, always reacting, never set up properly.

Years passed. The kitchens changed, the markets evolved, the platforms didn't. TradingView was a browser tab. NinjaTrader felt like a Windows 7 application. MetaTrader looked like 2009 and ran like it. None of them were built for the person who has a full life and trades around it. They were built for the person whose entire life is trading.

By 2025 I had two things at the same time. Enough trading experience to know exactly what was missing. And enough engineering training, as a Red Hat Certified System Administrator, to build the missing thing properly. So I started.
